Mary Stuart was born as Mary Katherine McKennis in Scarsdale, New York in 1949. She was the daughter of Gregory and Dory McKennis. Stuart dreamed of performing on stage when she was a kid. Mary attended the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated from same in 1971 with two degrees which included one in landscape architecture. Stuart moved to New York in 1972 and first began appearing in explicit hardcore movies soon thereafter.
