Kyle (Ricky Spanish) and his new stepmother Penny Barber are trapped at home while his dad's away. with the town suffering a blackout power shortage as a storm rages locally. They try to be optimistic but as Penny admits, It's apocalyptic. Bundled up to try and keep warm in the cold house for a second night without power, the two of them try to keep up their spirits, with Kyle haltingly telling a stepmom joke. The joke is cute, albeit, sexual. Penny can't help but laugh at a joke that's terrible. Trying to help matters, Kyle suggests that they cuddle together skin against skin to share their body warmth in this dire situation. No funny business, she says as she undresses. Kyle joins in, both of them stripping down to their underwear and pop under the bed covers together. Sharing their warmth, it seems to be helping, but Penny wonders out loud: What would your father think if he caught us like this?
