Steven illustrates the physical and mental toll that the events of 2020 had on many people within the Asian American community. These experiences are symbolized through Steven's "blinks" as he recounts the year's significant events, including rising Anti-Asian hate, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
