Darus runs for his life when his wealthy and ambitious uncle tries to marry him off to Zarinah, the daughter of a bank manager. He refuses to wed the girl because he already has a sweetheart. Darus also knows that the old man, who had been his guardian since he was young, needs to borrow money from the banker to finance an abandoned housing project.
